Drawing for Beginners

Many people feel that they would love to be able to draw either for pleasure or to help with their design work. This course introduces the right-side of the brain method (described by Betty Edwards in her book "Drawing on the right side of the brain') which rapidly improves your drawing skills. We cover pure and modified contour drawing; upside-down drawing; working with negative shapes to aid observation. Ideally more than one day is necessary to cover the ground fully.

Time: 10.00am until 4.30pm.

Day(s): Any day(s) - by arrangement.

Price: £150.00
per day for personal tuition or £275.00 for two students.

Colour-mixing in practice

This one-day course continues from the basic colour-mixing course. Explore the use of complementary colours; learn how to produce darker shades of a colour without using black and 'killing' the colour; produce a wonderful range of greys and generally feel much more in control of your colours. No more muddy colours and lifeless paintings.

Time: 10.00am until 4.30pm.

Day: Any day - by arrangement.

Price: £225.00 for individual tuition or £180.00 per person for two students.
